King Deluxe is happy to present the debut album from Calvin Cardioid, a synth junkie from Canada with a talent for crafting intricately layered electronic anthems. For future citizens on board a starship to Vega.
His weapons of choice here was a rare yellow Omega (as re-imagined by Kotryna on the cover art), his maple Moog Voyager, a Virus TI2 Polar, and a tiny bit of Teenage Engineering OP-1.
For Calvin it began on headphones in a lower Manhattan dorm room during his film program days at NYU. Started with one synthesizer, then collected one too many over the years. Dumped them all and went back to zero. Sticking with a minimalized new analog setup, he finally puts together a first album even after losing his studio and being on the run in Toronto.
But Now I’m Looking Forward – King Deluxe – 2012
Year Two – King Deluxe – 2012
Year One – King Deluxe – 2011
